Micro-Logic SLOCKET machine! was created by Martin
so we recently came across this a few months ago, its been put to the side ready for us having some free time to do something with it. Unfortunately we have not had time to feature it in a video yet but thought I would pop it up here for you guys to have a sneak peak.

So what do we know so far?

It was built by a company called Micro-Logic computers who by all accounts are still going today, a small Custom Computer builder/Repair shop in London. We have messaged them to let them know we have the machine and its still running!

It features an unbranded motherboard, a quick google search has revealed nothing about it. It runs a Slot 1 setup.
It has a SLOT 1 > Socket 370 "SLOCKET" adaptor that allows S370 chips to be used in Slot 1 motherboards.
Socket 370 Celeron 466MHz (66MHz Bus)
32MB of SD Ram
onboard video
a 4.3GB Maxtor HDD which has been formatted.

Today I'm going to fire up Windows 98se on it and see how she runs.

Looks really nice, a good base for a Win98 machine.

I remember, I had a similiar board a long time ago, with the same type of adaptor.

Well after a bit of testing, it runs like a dream!

Fresh install of Windows 98 Second Edition

Found an Intel Celeron 466MHz at its heart!

VGA and Sound drivers installed, Unofficial Service Pack and Windows Media 9 series and its ready for some testing

Any suggestions for a GPU? it only has PCI slots. I currently have zero PCI cards so ill need to source one.

ebay can be a real hit or miss, sometimes bargains to be had, but with retro most people know what they have and what its worth now :-(

I see phils computerlab promotes a German site for retro parts, www.electromyne.de/ I had a look at their selection of PCI video cards but I don't think I will be ordering one in a hurry :woohoo:

Helping a friend have a clear out today and came across this baby, its been in storage for years, I wonder if it works we asked??? - I've got the perfect machine to find out I said!

Its fitted and safe to say it DOES work, not had enough time to stress it out and see how it performs, that's a job for tomorrow!

yeah I know this place called "somewhere"...
there's a cpu tray with a K5, a Pentium I 75MHz, 3 Durons (750, 800 & 900) and some Athlons from 1000 to 2000 MHz right at this place. next to the missing voodoo sli, 2 isa soundcards and a 768kb ram gfx card....
