Hi Guys!

This time I wanna show you my reworked Cybercom (Medion) PC I was gifted by a friend.
It was sold by Aldi in 2001 and had the following

SPECS

Medion 9901 Slot 1 Mobo
Intel Pentium 600E
64MB SDRAM PC100 (now 256 MB PC133)
20.4GB Seagate HDD (now 30.x GB IBM Deskstar)
40x Lite-On CD-ROM
nVidia Riva TNT2 pro w/ DEDICATED 32MB RAM onboard

I put in a new battery as the old one was completly empty and also replaced the dead HDD and FDD. Added a few drops of machine oil to the cpu fan, as it was annoying loud.

Case was almost dust free, just a little on the cables and a bit more on the cd-rom.
Updated the bios to support 40gb hdds and then installed windows 98se.

Tested it with HL 1 in openGL, runs pretty good.

nice one

uncleaned state

little dust

Thats excellent, i like when PC/Motherboard manufacturers do that, ive got 4 or 5 retro machines that i cant find BIOS updates for anywhere, luckily they all work fine anyway but i just like to have the latest on :-)

I now what you mean. sometimes it's really a pain to find stuff for retro parts, had the same problem with the Abit board and the dfi, too. I hope that the bios SpruceGuy found works. ;)
