Today we are looking at Martin's current daily machine. Bought as a stop gap between builds its now been around for 3 months! The machine is a Dell OptiPlex 3040 but quite a rare one given that it left the factory with an Intel Core i7-6700 3.4GHz Quad Core. The machine idles quite happily at under 30c and even under moderate daily use rarely ventures over 30c.

HOWEVER... When the machine is loaded up for a period of time at 100% CPU Usage, temperatures are venturing up into the 80's! so today we look at replacing the stock thermal paste, will this bring things back into line?

WE FIND OUT.
