Today we have been busy with the thinkpad, the last modification we had planned for the machine. a finger print sensor. The fingerprint sensors were somthing we had never used as it always required 3rd party drivers and software running at boot to work with Windows login, But now thanks to Windows Hello (since most mobile devices now use finger print login) it works natively in Windows 10.

Thankfully Lenovo choose to use the same cable and motherboard connector regardless if the machine was specced with a fingerprint scanner or not, its part of the ribbon cable for the track pad. - so its simply as easy as swapping over the palm rest and away you go!

Check out our video to see how to swap over, how to configure it inside Windows 10, and also how it works!
