Following on from our video on the recently reduced £44.99 Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet, here is the guide on how to install Google Play services and store onto the device so that you can use the google store to download apps. This guide works for All Amazon Fire Tablets so that includes the 7, 8 and 10" models.

Before setting up, if you want to avoid the amazon adds every time you unlock the tablet, you can do this but it also means you cant use the Amazon services that the tablets are designed to support, This isn't a problem if you just want to use it as a web browser, content viewer, social media device etc as the google services far outweigh the amazon services in most areas.

Simply turn on your new tablet (or reset to factory settings if you have already used it) select your country and the different options it offers you until you get to the wifi screen, press Skip and DO NOT connect it to a wifi, sometimes you will need to click on a wifi and enter an incorrect password before it will offer you the skip button. Once you are passed the wifi setup and get to the home screen you can now go into the settings and connect it to your wifi of choice, it may pop up the first time asking you to now continue your amazon sign in, just once again skip this and you wont see it again and neither will you see any amazon ads!

We then chose to copy all of the amazon apps into a folder on the home screen called Amazon to keep them all out the way as most are now of no use to us.

now onto google play, first go into settings > security and privacy > then enable the setting "apps from unknown sources" - this will let us install apps we download which we need to install the google play services.

open the amazon silk browser on your tablet and open the following link to download the GOOGLE ACCOUNTS MANAGER
www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-...ndroid-apk-download/

once it downloads, click to open it and install it, once its installed move onto the following 3...
GOOGLE SERVICES FRAMEWORK:
www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-...ework-7-1-2-release/

GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES:
www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-...es-20-04-12-release/

GOOGLE PLAY STORE:
www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-...ore-18-7-18-release/

Once all 4 are installed, simply click on the google play store on your home screen, log in with your google account and now your good to start installing your favourite apps from the play store!
