no special software.
but if you tell us something about the rest of your hardware, it's easier to explain what to do. ;)

Hi Poicly,
Nik is right if you tell us more about your motherboard we could help point you in the right direction.

Older boards often have jumpers on them to set the clock speed and is just a case of setting the jumpers correctly to increase the FSB.

(If your CPU will run at the selected FSB depends on the cpu but 200 to 233 should be relatively straight forward.)

Should have jumpers, my old socket 7 has them, too... ;)

Yea, there must be a "chart" printed next to the Dip switches and another one next to the jumpers...
Can you take a picture of that charts together with switches/jumpers?

A detailed shot of the charts will help a lot to tell you the settings.
I can see it on the left to the jumpers, but can't read it.
There is another one above the dip switches, this is important, too.

Is there another page that shows the settings of the DIP switches? that would be great, too.

no, i don't see anything other than this, i got a page about the jumpers but that's just saying things about the voltage for diffirent processor types, this is the only page about the DIP switches, i tried the 233 switch setup and nothing changed, still at 200 mhz :(

ps: you guy's are lucky that i have so many problems with this computer otherwise there wouldn't be as much activity :P

pps: if you want to look at it yourself here is the link: www.elhvb.com/mobokive/archive/Soltek/Ma...207/sl-54s2/54p5.pdf

check the JP14 chart on page 4 to assure the correct jumper setting for the VCore voltage plus the chart on page 13 / 14 for the clock setting.
BUT BE CAREFUL!
you might need a bigger fan and fresh thermal paste on it!!!

266 MHz @ 3.5 x 75 MHz are possible
