First one! ;)

Built this old desktop some years ago, but sadly the HDD died after installing Win98 SE.

It's a Soyo SY-5EAS mobo with a VIA Apollo VPX Chip (It's re-labeled as ETEQ) with a K6 233 MHz CPU.
Gfx card is a ATI 3D Rage pro pci with upgraded 8MB, a Terratec Integra 128-T is working for the sounds.
The harddisk was a Seagate Medalist 2132 with 2.1 GB, but as I mentioned above, it died during the final Win98 reboot...
Can't tell if the two floppes still work, don't have any disks for them the big 5,25" needs a new cable.
The system is powered by a moretec MPS-220 PSU with 220 W.
I'm not sure about the amount of RAM as I can't boot the system due to a blown up condensator, need to replace this first (and get a new HDD).

Welcome to the forum!
Nice build, the K6 is such a cool looking CPU with the windows logo on it!

what do you plan on using the machine for once you get it running?

That's a good question, haven't thought much about yet.
Maybe for playing some very oldschool dos games.

I'm building another machine for the "newer" Win9x apps and games, should be running in the evening.

Sweet, I'm just putting the finishing touches to my W9x machine, will pop some details up here when I get it all working good.

these older systems can be testing on your patience when they don't work as they should!!

yeah, it's really testing your nerves.
I honestly hope the drive still works, I remember the time it took to get everything running...
