Well, I just noticed that I haven't wrote anything (besides the pics in the case thread) about my daily black box yet...
You might already know that it's a Coolermaster HAF 932, but I'll repeat the full specs...
  • Case: Coolermaster HAF 932
  • Mobo: Gigabyte GA-990FXA D3
  • CPU: AMD FX-8350
  • Cooler: Thermalright Macho Rev.B (installed today ;) )
  • RAM: 2x8GB A-DATA PC1600 DDR3
  • SSD: 1x 64GB Crucial M4, 1x 500GB Crucial CT500MX200
  • HDD: 1xSamsung HD502IJ (500GB), 1x Seagate ST31000528AS (1TB)
  • ODD: LG BH10LS30 BluRay re-writer
  • GFX: Zotac GeForce GTX 960 Ti 4GB AMP edition
  • Mouse: Roccat Lua (too small for my hand)
  • Keyboard: Dell RT7D50 (generic random crap-board, my Roccat Isku died 5 months ago :( )
  • Sound: onboard
  • NIC: TP-Link PCI-E 1GB card (onboard NIC died 2 weeks ago)
  • Speakers: Logitech X-530 without rear speakers

so that's the pic everything started with.
Martin surely knows, what I mean. ;)
it shows the boxed air SCREAMER that used to drive me crazy while gaming without headphones.

the "dirty" side with all the cables...

where's the thermal paste???

ah, here it is...hard like concrete. (bought the cpu about 6 months ago... )

so here it is: first pic, yet without the fan

fan installed, will it fit?

yes it fits, hooray!

HWInfo

I turned the PSU around, so it now sucks the air out of the case.
Negative effect: ruined cablework, gonna try to fix this during the next cleaning task.

4770 is still a great choice for todays computing. Amazing how well they have held their value too!

Thx Martin.
It's performance compared to the FX-8350 is way better (and also saves a lot of energy, too ;) )
At first I wanted to get an i7 4770k, but the prices are just insane. same goes for the i5 4670k, which I had in mind as alterative. :pinch:
Maybe I get of those two later, for now the non-k has to be enough. I tried to OC the 4770 via the bclk, with no mentionable afford. It just won't run stable (nor even boost all 4 cores to the max ; tried diffrent settings -> nope).
at least it looks kinda fancy now (without RGB, just one row of red LEDs that mark the separated onboard SB X-Fi area), never done so much cable management before. ;)

latest additions are:
  • Logitech G402 mouse (used, 12€)
  • Rapo Vpro 700 mechanical keyboard (used, bought 3 for 32€ :P )
